Client Testimonials

I wanted to write to thank you and Get-Away Dialysis for making our family vacation to Nuevo Vallarta both possible and stress free. As you know, we traveled to Nuevo Vallarta in March; our second visit to this resort area as we also visited in 2013.

Get-Away’s entire process for making arrangements is very straight forward and professional which helps to make the process of coordinating vacation arrangements very manageable and worry free. Booking dialysis dates and ensuring that the clinic has all of the information that they need went very smoothly.

I cannot say enough about the quality of the staff at the clinic. They are always so friendly, professional, and accommodating and they take the time to make sure that your time at the clinic is pleasant.

They really do understand that you’re there on vacation and they work to get your treatments completed and get you back to enjoying your vacation.

In addition, the facility and equipment is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and modern. It is so great to have such a wonderful option that allows a family to enjoy a vacation while dealing with dialysis. My whole family always lives with my many restrictions so Get-Away Dialysis allows us all to take a break from that part of our lives.

I look forward to getting back there again and would recommend your services to anyone living with dialysis that would like to travel.

Thank you.

I took advantage of Get-Away Dialysis service in Puerto Vallarta the first week of February, 2014.

The clinic is in “the almost brand new” hospital that is a 3-5 minute walk from any of several good resorts. The street is tree lined and easily crossed without problem.

The unit is clean, well staffed and everyone was very friendly and speaks English.

I had a special need as well and they went out of their way to accommodate me and all was well.  I was always put on treatment on time, with no issues, and was back in my resort within minutes post treatment.

The area is beautiful and there is a smaller, very modern mall only a couple minutes down the street from the hospital. Nice shops, and even a medium sized grocery store. There is also a pharmacy across the hallway from the dialysis unit.

Although it is unfortunate that I had to give up two mornings of a holiday to get treatment, the arrangements through Get-Away Dialysis made that a very slight inconvenience.

Heather and I saw Humpback Whales, swam with dolphins, took a trip up the canals and saw crocodiles, 3 species of iguana, and many birds species. We romped in the ocean, caught two shows put on by the Hard Rock Hotel, went para-sailing, and basically relaxed for a week (in between the activities listed above).

Paradise Village Hotel looks good, however the Hard Rock was a better fit for us at this time. Any hotel on the strip would be within a few minutes walk to the dialysis unit, and Paradise Village is of course the closest to the pier from which all tours depart.

Its the music ambience of the Hard Rock Hotel that we liked. Others who are not so interested in having rock music playing all day might consider Paradise Village a better fit, or could check with Trip Advisor for other hotels.

We would definitely consider doing this again.  If you would like to use me as a reference for others considering this arrangement, feel free to do so.

“When life hands you a lemon, you make lemonade.  Get Away Dialysis is your main ingredient!

Our December 2012 vacation to Nuevo Vallarta was possible due to this company.  If you have any doubts about dialyzing in Mexico, let me assure you they are unfounded.

They take care of everything related to your treatment.  The San Javier clinic is modern, clean, and organized.  The dialysis staff are highly trained, very welcoming and an absolute pleasure to spend your clinic time with.

We are looking forward to another visit.   Thank you Get Away!”

Thank you so much for helping me get set up with dialysis in Mazatlan. Everything went so well and we had a great time.

I tried para-sailing which was a blast. The sunsets were mesmerizing, and for me the down time relaxing in the heat on the beach or by the pool was most enjoyable and therapeutic.

We stayed at two different places but both places were from the same chain of resorts. At the El Cid Marina Beach, we did all inclusive. At the 2nd, the El Cid Castillo, we chose to not do the inclusive package. It was better for us to have a kitchenette and buy our own food.

Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Dialysis was easy to get to from where we stayed, easy to find the dialysis unit once in the hospital. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor. He was very kind, as was all the nursing staff.

We had a wonderful time and would absolutely do that again.

Thank you so much for helping us put together a fun and hassle free vacation, even on dialysis!

We were wondering if you could send us information on other places that Get-Away Dialysis accommodates dialysis patients.  I look forward to being able travel again soon with Get-Away Dialysis.

Our trip was fabulous! The weather was perfect (27-30 degrees), no rain and one day of clouds. Mazatlan is beautiful. The beach is great and you can walk for miles.

The clinic was very clean and was a lot like at home.

The resort was nice, and it only took about 20 minutes to walk to the clinic. When we took a cab, it was about 40 or 50 pesos (approx. $5.00).

There were a ton of excursions. We did a couple of city tours, (old city) and a country tour (where we learned to make salsa and tortillas). We also went to the cliff divers and watched them at night. When we did the old city we also had dinner. Mazatlan is known for shrimp. We had an awesome shrimp dinner and margaritas that night.

We went to a tequila factory, we watched dancing horses, went to a house where they made candy. The restaurants were great and there was hundreds of them.

I will be talking to you in January, as I would like to maybe go back for three weeks next year!

Take care and thank you for all of your help!

“I went to Mazatlan during the Christmas holidays.  Mazatlan’s just the most wonderful place to visit.  This was our third trip to Mexico and was by far the best.

The dialysis clinic there is definitely first class.  The staff’s very friendly and the two doctors were very accommodating.

It’s wonderful to be able to travel again while on dialysis, and I’m very thankful that Get-Away Dialysis has set up this clinic so we’re still able to vacation in Mexico.  We’ve booked another trip for March, and I’m looking forward to going down there again.”
