Get-Away Dialysis is a new Canadian company, located in Calgary, Alberta, dedicated to providing individuals on haemodialysis with a high standard of dialysis treatment at our international clinics. These clinics open up exciting vacation opportunities for dialysis patients, whatever your country of origin. We are affiliated with Chief Medical Supplies. CMS provides high quality pharmaceutical and haemodialysis products to pharmacies and hospitals across Canada.
CARE YOU’VE COME TO EXPECT
Dialysis treatments at Get-Away Dialysis clinics are four hours on B Braun dialysis machines. The tubing, needles, dialyzers and fluids are from the same companies that would supply clinics in Canada. The reverse osmosis water purification system and water testing are at Canadian standards.
Each station is equipped with a TV and internet connection to keep you entertained. A family member or friend is welcome to visit with you during treatment until you hit the beach.

MAZATLAN, MEXICO Our first haemodialysis clinic, Get-Away Dialysis / Mazatlan,was established in partnership with Hospital Sharp, a full service hospital in Mazatlan, Mexico. Dr. Juan Barraza is the clinician in charge of medical tourism at our Mazatlan clinic. Dr. Barraza has 25 years of experience with medical tourism.

FROM THE UNITED STATES
There are many flight options available from the United States including Alaska Airlines from Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles; Continental Airlines from Houston; America West and US Airways from Phoenix; Frontier Airlines from Denver; Delta Airlines and Sun Country Airlines from Minneapolis / St. Paul; and many more.
FROM EUROPE
From Europe, flights are generally to Mexico City, though both Iberia and Martinair fly to Cancun. European airlines that offer direct flights to Mexico City include British Airways, Iberia, Air France, KLM, Lufthansa and Swiss Air.
Mexico City is very much the hub through which all domestic services are routed, though Mexico City and Cancun are both very well connected.
AeroMexico is Mexico’s largest national airline, and Mexicana is the second largest airline. Both offer a wide range of domestic flights out of Mexico City and Cancun for travelers wanting to go on to Mazatlan or Puerto Vallarta.
FROM ASIA
CHINA China Eastern Airlines and Air France fly out of Shanghai to Mexico City via Paris; Air China via San Francisco; Klm Royal Dutch Airline via Amsterdam; Delta via Tokyo and Los Angeles; and American Airlines through Los Angeles.
JAPAN Japan Airlines flies from Tokyo Narita via Vancouver to Mexico City. Aeromexico offers flights from Tokyo, to Mexico City via Tijuana, Mexico.
SOUTH KOREA Aeromexico offers flights from Seoul, South Korea, to Mexico City via Tijuana, Mexico.
INDIA India is well served by numerous airlines out of Delhi. AeroMexico and Air France fly to Mexico City with a stopover in Paris; Lufthansa via Frankfurt or Munich; British Airways via London and Madrid; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines via Amsterdam; and United Airlines via Newark.
RUSSIA There are now Aeroflot flights that fly direct from Moscow to Cancun. An Airbus 330 leaves for Mexico approx. every 10 days.
IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that the US has no transit areas, meaning if you take a flight that connects through any US city, you’ll either need to get a US visa or qualify for a visa waiver.
